What to check in your case
A resident may have selected an adjacent zone as well as the home zone. Check the map and EMEL confirmation to establish whether that street, side of the road and bay were covered on the relevant date. If you changed vehicles or applied to renew, find the activation confirmation and the registration recorded on the day. Identify whether the document requests a parking tariff or formally opens the period to challenge an offence.
Documents for your defence
Full notice or decision, front and back, and evidence of the date of service.
- EMEL notice or payment slip and recorded street address
- Issue or renewal confirmation showing zone, registration and dates
- Photos of the bay and sign with the nearest building number
