Accessing the ANSR case file and speed camera photograph

Inspection gives access to the notice and evidence behind the allegation. In ANSR cases, the person concerned or a lawyer with a power of attorney can request access to the file or the speed camera photograph.

What to check in your case

ANSR states that a formal request to inspect a file, made within the defence period, suspends that period. The same applies to a timely request for a speeding photograph that did not accompany the notice. Once a decision has been served, requesting access does not stop the court appeal deadline. Keep both the request receipt and the letter granting access. For minor parking offences handled by a municipality, contact the authority on the notice.
