Unlawful road cabotage

A haulier established in another state may carry out certain domestic operations after an international journey. The operation count, intervals and vehicle used are decisive.

What to check in your case

List the last international delivery and each domestic loading and unloading in order for each vehicle. The general limit of three operations in seven days is subject to conditions, including a four-day interval before further cabotage in the same state with the same vehicle.

Documents for your defence

Full notice or decision, front and back, and evidence of the date of service.

  • CMR consignment notes and proof of each delivery
  • Log of entries, departures and motor-vehicle registrations
