Limitation periods for ACT proceedings and fines

While there is no final decision, the issue may be limitation of the proceedings. Once a fine has become final, the limitation period for enforcement has a different starting point. Keep earlier correspondence as well.

What to check in your case

Article 52 of Law 107/2009 sets a five-year base period for the proceedings. We establish when the offence occurred or ceased and check events interrupting or suspending time. The last letter’s date alone cannot answer the question.
